Announcing Soul Restoration Retreat Scholarships

Is something calling you to take part in our Soul Restoration Retreat at Willowbook Farm? Do you find yourself clicking on the information repeatedly yet, not pulling the trigger to participate in four life changing days of soul searching fun? Do you feel like  you have lost touch with your eight year old self… your dreams, your plans for life, living with joy? Do you feel like you do not know the truth anymore of who you are? Of who you are supposed to be? Are you in a transition and you don’t know what to do next? Do you live life on decisions based on what you think others want you to be and to do and not really based on what you want? Do you just need a tune up to get back to life without all of the untruths that you are living with…

Than what are you waiting for? We here at Life’s Patina are all about restoration. ALL about it. Those of you who follow us know that we love taking objects that have a little wear and tear on them and giving them new life, sometimes introduced into a new form and sometimes by just giving it the attention it needs to bring back its luster. The definition of restore is the following:

1. to bring back, to reinstate

2. to return

3. to repair or renovate (as in a work of art) so as to return it to its original condition

The Soul Restoration Retreat does just that, but instead of working on an inanimate object…  YOU will be restoring you! You are the valuable object. You will be coming here to participate in Melody Ross’ course that helps you to achieve that end goal… to rediscover the miracle of you. To really know who you are and know the beautiful life that was meant for you. You will uncover the untruths that you have been believing and this will be hard work, just as it is to strip down a well loved piece of furniture that has been coated in way too many layers of paint. Layers of paint that have covered up the real beauty that lies beneath.

You will be doing all of this restoration at the restorative Willowbrook Farm, where the big bank barn will be turned into the art barn, where you will partake in journaling, art and other restorative activities that will help you to again, find the light.

You will dig deep to find the truth while being pampered with delicious meals and snacks served in inspiring environments, participating in yoga by the pond, floral arranging after a hike in the nature preserve and learning a lesson or two from our talented chef who will be preparing those delicious meals. The beauty of Willowbrook Farm will surround you and help you to restore. For nature is the ultimate restorer. Other women looking for the same goal will surround you, women who you may come in with as strangers and leave as the best of friends!

What are you waiting for?

I know when I was looking at attending the Soul Restoration Retreat in Idaho, the two most resounding things that kept popping up in my head while considering attending were:

Time?  How could I possibly fit this in? How could I take this time away from my family? We all have the same amount in a day and the things that you will miss while participating will still be there when you get back. We find time for lots of trivial things in a day. If you look hard enough, you just might find a way to navigate through the lack of time to be able to attend. There is nothing more important than you… so to take the time to restore you… it’s perhaps the most important use of time ever!

Cost? The idea of spending the tuition for the retreat only on me was an item that I could not get over… totally self indulgent.     It does seem totally indulgent and most likely spending this amount of money only on you, will be a hardship to many.  In keeping with our Life’s Patina mission of giving back and focusing on sharing our life experiences to help inspire others, we are thrilled to announce that we are able to offer a few partial scholarships to attend our upcoming Soul Restoration Retreat being held April 26th – April 29th. To apply, please submit answers to the following questions to meg@lifespatina.com.

1. Why do you want to attend?

2. How do you want the Soul Restoration experience to influence your life?

If you could submit them by April 2nd, they will be considered for the partial scholarships that are available. If you want more information on the retreat click here!

This is not an exam, a big test or a barometer of who you are as a person. We are just asking for your heart in your responses to these questions.

We love restoring objects that have gone a little too far in their patina here at Life’s Patina. We love creating beauty in the everyday as well. We love celebrating life, the past and the present. We love celebrating you… so join us if you can… if you need a little help in restoring you.

Hugs ~ Meg

    Hi Meg,
I had the pleasure of meeting you with my best friend Mary this Friday night. I shared with you how interested I was in the retreat but it wasn’t something I could afford at this time. I live in East Coventry so I am about 25 minutes from your place.
So why am I interested in the retreat? I just celebrated my 52nd Birthday. I was married for 28 years to my high school sweetheart with two beautiful almost grown children when he asked me for a divorce. Honestly, now I see it as the gift he meant it to be. I am now married to a man that is able to participate in my joy. That being said; I know have the freedom and support to follow what that joy would be. To be honest, I feel stuck. I don’t know what to do now that I can choose. It sounds so silly/sad to see it in print but it is something I feel I have worked all my life to get to and now that I’m here I don’t know what to do. I’m fearful that as time passes I’ll need to just do something and find myself doing just for a paycheck instead of doing something I’d love. I’ve always been the provider for my family until my new relationship. This has been a while new humbling mindset. So to request a partial scholarship for this retreat is not an easy thing for me to do but I feel that this is the perfect timing for me to partake in this amazing experience. I appreciate your consideration and thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing this opportunity to women of our like situations to rise to up to fulfill our best lives.
    Peace,
    Patti Miller
