A little grey in my day

I just finished my first larger piece using Chalk Paint. I had used this type of paint for a couple of frames that I was making into chalk boards but had yet to tackle a piece of furniture.
 Here is the before …
and here is the after. I am thrilled with the results and I think the woman who ordered the piece is too!
I loved the fact that there was no priming involved, just a very light sanding on the inside of the piece. I coated it with 2 coats of Annie Sloane graphite (except for the top which is going to be pulled off for the piece is getting a granite top to be turned into a bathroom vanity).
I then topped the graphite coat with a coat of French Linen and pulled off some of the paint by using a rag.
A little light sanding here and there and a coat of wax and viola’…it was ready to be picked up.
The woman who ordered it has a great sense of style and had already purchased a beautiful French mirror at our barn sale. It is going to be hung over the vanity and she promised to send me a picture when it is all finished. I will most certainly pass it on to you.
Got to go get me some more chalk paint!!!
If you are tackling any projects using the paint, feel free to send me your questions.
Best~
Meg
